Attenzione!

Come si coniuga to have al Past Simple
Vediamo come:
I had |
you had |
he / she / it had |
we had |
you had |
they had |
Come avete visto dalla tabella qui sopra, il verbo to have al Past Simple ha solo la forma estesa: non esiste la forma contratta!
Vediamo qualche frase di esempio:
I had a dog – Io avevo un cane
Last year we had two cars – L’anno scorso noi avevamo due auto
She had blue eyes – Lei aveva gli occhi blu
La forma negativa del verbo to have
Soggetto + did not + have
La forma contratta si costruisce unendo l’ausiliare did con la negazione not:
Soggetto + didn’t + have
Ricordate che il not si trova sempre dopo il did.
I didn’t have | I did not have |
You didn’t have | You did not have |
He/she/it didn’t have | He/she/it did not have |
We didn’t have | We did not have |
You didn’t have | You did not have |
They didn’t have | They did not have |
Qualche esempio:
I didn’t have a dog – Io non avevo un cane
We didn’t have two cars – Noi non avevamo due auto
She didn’t have blue eyes – Lei non aveva gli occhi blu
